POLO MATCH A HUGE SUCCESS, 2013 DATE SET

Unique Fundraising Event To Benefit Catholic Charities

June 26, 2012 - The seventh annual Ten Oaks Cup Polo match went off without a hitch last Saturday, drawing a record crowd for the event and setting a new fund-raising total for Catholic Charities.  Next year's date has been set with the eighth annual event slated for June 22, 2013.

Located at the Lewis Family Farm in Clarksville, Maryland, this unique event brings live polo and a variety of family-oriented activities while raising tens of thousands of dollars for Catholic Charities' Our Daily Bread.  When purchased in advance, tickets start at $30.00 per car for general admission and $130 per car for a tailgate spot.  To purchase tickets in advance, please click here.

Conceived by Mary Agnes and Fred Lewis, long-time Howard County, Maryland residents, the fund raiser is one of the only polo events in central Maryland and has raised more than $250,000 for the Lewis designated charity since its inception in 2005.  In fact, the event is the second largest fund raiser for Our Daily Bread, a charity Mary Agnes Lewis has volunteered her services for over 25 years.

The Ten Oaks Polo Cup is a true Lewis Family affair with many of the Lewis' ten children pitching in to put on the event.  And, while most of the Lewis' children still maintain residences in Maryland, Joan Lewis Kennedy,Tim Lewis and Our Daily Bread's Dennis Murphy bear most of the event's management responsibilities.
